Have you ever received an email from your boss telling you to "book comedian"? Well, it happened to me just the other day. At first I was really confused about what my boss was asking. But I hurried into his office, just to find out what he really wanted. As it turned out, my boss wanted me to find a comedian for the Christmas party. He told me that he hoped to make the event really special so that all of his employees would be excited about attending. It seems like attendance has been down over the past few years.
My boss thought that booking a great comedian to put on a show would encourage people to come to the party. To be honest, I think that hiring a comedian is a fabulous idea. I know that I'd enjoy an evening with good food and comedy, and I'm sure other employees will feel the same way.
