Why Do So Many You People Still Worship Famous Celebrities?

since we should be well past it in my opinion. We unquestionably should be anyway. I mean take this week, on the front page of the biggest newspaper in England, some footballer got arrested so let out again. That was front page news, but who cares really. I mean there are children dying and we worry more about some football player who got arrested then let out a few hours later. 

He was on the front page again a few days later basically because he was talking to some 'blonde girl'. I mean is it just me who believes that's not what we should be worrying about?

So there are particular quarters of famous celebrities that genuinely do not merit it if you ask me as there are people to revere that don't fall into that category. 

Singers/musicians - now these guys are my favourite and the ones more suitable of revering basically because they actually have a talent but still should not be idolized the way that they currently are. The people who we should be idolizing are the ones who save lives or the ones who are truly nice people. Those are the ones who I think we should be looking up to. 

Actors/Actresses - now these are the people who we truly idolize (taken as a whole) to the highest point, but consider what they really do for a living. Technically their occupation is to lie every single day and to appear on TV doing just that, so why do we idolise this, why do we idolize those who are put into our TV screens. What is there to idolize?

Once more they are the people who are severely overpaid for what they do, particularly in the current financial times where people kill one another for any money that they can get. So I ask again, what is there to really idolize. 

Frustration - it's just so frustrating to see people who think that being famous is absolutely everything given that it really isnt. There is far more to life than appearing on the TV - what is this fascination with it. I really don't see why people HAVE to appear on the TV at some point in their lives. 

Yes, we all have heroes, correct? Well how many of your heroes are ones from the TV, because I bet about 90% of you are fitting right into that category. For certain there is nothing wrong with that but I certainly do think that is the reason that they are our heroes. 

Have a look at a football player. Look at what they do and tell me why I should revere him because I see no reason to idolize a football player what so ever.
